

Ronnie Spain, 62, passed away February 26, 2013 in Cary, NC. She lived a fulfilling life dedicated to family and friends. She touched lives along her journey, born in the Bronx and living on Long Island, NY; Columbus, OH; Milwaukee, WI; Pittsburgh, PA; Winston-Salem and Raleigh, NC; collecting life-long friends in each location. The ultimate hostess, she was a wonderful chef and loved preparing delightful meals for family and friends. She loved the beach and spent countless summer days in Emerald Isle enjoying the sunshine and a good book.
She is survived by her husband, Randall J. Spain; children, David Spain and wife, Liz, and Jeremy Spain and wife, Kristen; grandson, Will Spain; step father, Norman Wasserman; brothers, Art Wasserman and wife, Jan, and Steve Wasserman and wife, Sally; and step sister, Carol Fuchs and husband, Richard.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2013 at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, 200 S.E. Maynard Road, Cary, NC 27511.
The family will receive friends following the service until 4:00 p.m. at Page-Walker Arts & History Center, 119 Ambassador Loop, Cary, NC, to celebrate Ronnie's life. For those who cannot visit with the family at Page-Walker Arts & History Center, the family will briefly receive friends at the funeral home after the service.
