Sandra Martha Rogers, beloved wife of John Rogers, passed away on June 3, 2023, in Cary, North Carolina. She was born on March 24, 1949, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late Joseph and Christine Salvage Kelley.
Sandra was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. She adored her family and leaves behind a lasting legacy of compassion. Sandra is survived by her devoted husband, John Rogers, and her two sons, Adam Corcoran and Ted Corcoran. She also leaves behind her ten cherished grandchildren: Aubrey, Zach, Austin, Ian, Meagan, Thomas, Andrew, Jude, Blythe, and Keeley.
Sandra's caring nature extended beyond her immediate family. She possessed a remarkable empathy for others and dedicated her career to working with adults with disabilities for the State of Connecticut's Department of Mental Health. Her passion for helping those in need touched the lives of many.
In addition to her surviving family members, Sandra was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelley Brasier. Although she is no longer with us, Kelley's memory will forever remain in the hearts of her loved ones.
In her leisure time, Sandra found great joy in following the UCONN men's and women's basketball teams. She took pleasure in cheering them on and celebrating their victories. Sandra was also an avid pet lover and committed to rescuing and providing a loving home to animals in need.
A devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for over 30 years, Sandra found solace and strength in her faith. Her commitment to her beliefs guided her life and inspired those around her.
Family and friends are invited to attend a service honoring Sandra's life, which will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 1811 Seabrook Avenue, Cary, NC, on June 9th at 4:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the SPCA of Wake County in Sandra's honor. This gesture will continue her love and care for animals even beyond her lifetime.
Sandra Martha Rogers will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her generosity and unwavering love will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family, friends, and the community she touched. May she rest in peace, together with her daughter Kelley, knowing that their spirits will forever remain intertwined.
