Lauren was born in Rome, GA; and grew up in Cary, where she was a graduate of Apex High School. Her life was marked by a love for the arts as she studied Art History and Printmaking at Appalachian State University, then Culinary Arts at Wake Technical Community College. A cultural polymath of sorts, Lauren navigated literature, design, fashion, and cuisine with grace and poise, and those who knew her well will no doubt remember her creativity, zeal, and charisma. Her best days were spent with her boys on picnics and outdoor adventures, and when not cooking, Lauren enjoyed gardening, live music, and day trips to the North Carolina coast.
Lauren is survived by her mother, Stephanie Ware of Cary; father, Rob Ware of Cave Spring, GA; two sons, Henry and Orson; husband, Matthew Williams; siblings Drew Ware of Cave Spring, Blake Ware of Charlottesville, VA, and Franci Ware of Cape Charles, VA.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Raleigh at 3313 Wade Avenue, Raleigh, NC 27607.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials in Lauren's name be made to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
