Shannon Marie Scarlett

Shannon was the beloved wife of Dan Wilson for 17 years and the loving mother of Nick and Jack Wilson. She was the daughter of Jean and Tom Patchel, sister to John Scarlett and Brian Patchel, cousin to many, long-time GPC'er, and friend to all.

Shannon had a special way of moving through the world. She carried beauty, grace, strength, and courage in a way that inspired the people around her. Even through illness, she showed a depth of spirit that her family will never forget.

A proud graduate and lifelong fan of North Carolina State University, Shannon loved cheering on the Wolfpack through many seasons and sports.

She loved dogs deeply, fostered countless dogs in need, and cared for several treasured family pets over the years.

Born in Rota, Spain, Shannon carried a love of travel throughout her life, visiting many parts of the world and creating memories wherever she went.

Her memory will live on through Dan, Nick, Jack, and all who loved her. They will carry her forward in their stories, their choices, their laughter, and their love.

The family is grateful for the love, support, and prayers received during this time. Over the summer, celebrations of life will be organized in North Carolina, Florida, and Michigan.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks those who knew Shannon to share stories and pictures that can be saved for Nick and Jack.
