Sheldon Clinton Denton

He is survived by his wife Angela Miosi Denton; his children Jamie Karen Denton, Steven Christopher Denton; his grandchildren Joseph Denton and Alexandra Denton; his sister Betty Eddins Lloyd (Matthew Lloyd). He also has many nieces and nephews, in laws and extended family members who loved him, as well as countless friends and neighbors.

Born 1954 in Raleigh, NC. He enlisted in the navy after high school and served his country proudly aboard air craft carriers USS Independence and USS Intrepid. He received many commendations in his military career for his impeccable work and dedicated service.

He was an intensely hard worker. He supervised maintenance at several apartment complexes in the Cary area. After retiring, he took a job at Lowes hardware. There he made many friends and enjoyed working in that environment and helping customers with their home improvement ventures.

A memorial is planned for April. Dates and times tba.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations in his memory to Duke Cancer Center.
