Sidney was born in Mooresville, North Carolina on May 1,1945 to Sara J. Marsh and Sidney F. Marsh.
He was married for 59 years to Martha (Henri) Fulford Marsh. From their union they birthed Suzanne Ward.
Sidney enjoyed his career as a computer analyst where he worked for several companies including Burlington Industries, Hatteras Yachts, Carolina Power & Light (CP&L) and Progress Energy. He was an active member of Pershing Rifles at NC State.
Sidney leaves behind his wife Martha (Henri) Fulford Marsh, his Daughter Suzanne Ward (Brian Ward) , Sister Louise Powers ( Randy Powers) and Sallie Belperche along with two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
