Syrena was always there for me since I was a little boy, she changed my diapers, made me dinners, helped me with my homework, Syrena even flew up north on occasion to hang out and party in the NYC nightclubs where I was a bartender, she always had fun with me and my friends. She was a cool sister. I always felt that she understood me, we had an incredible bond. Syrena made me feel special and loved. She was the best Big Sister a Brother could have. Although we lived totally different lives and far away from each other for most of our adult lives we were always there for each other, she was just a phone call away at any time of the day or night. We talked a million times over the years for hours and hours about anything and everything, I knew she adored me, and I felt the same way about her. She cheered me on throughout my life’s biggest accomplishments; when I graduated from college, when I opened my real estate company and when I married my amazing husband, Syrena was right there to celebrate with me. She was genuinely happy that I was happy. I felt her love in every card she sent me, every carefully picked flower arrangement and Christmas gift she sent me and every post she made on my Facebook page. She would always be one of the first likes on almost all my Facebook posts. She was my #1 cheerleader, my mentor, confidant and my best friend. We were both there for each other when we went through some of our happiest and our darkest moments in life. We shared fears, secrets and dreams, we were there for each other, supported each other, we held each other up, she never tore me down, we hardly argued or fought but she would set me straight if I was wrong. She was always there to listen, she did not judge, we always laughed, and she always told me that she loved me. In many ways she was my second Mother after our Mom passed away. Although I am a grown man, I do not know how I will go on without hearing her voice to tell me everything will be OK. My heart is broken,

You were the Big Sister that kept your family, siblings and everyone that was so important to you very close to your heart. You were a very special sister/wife/mother/grandmother/ person that had such a maternal quality - that is so very rare and so genuine ! You cared deeply about making lifelong relationships with the people that were fortunate enough to get to know you. You stayed in touch with everyone and you made it seem so effortless and that was so very important to you ! - Your family, friends, grammar school friends, high school friends and extended relatives were lucky to be apart of that ! I was always in awe and truly impressed!
You worked tirelessly through the years as a wife, mother, grandmother and sister to create such a loving family. You always put everyone you cared about first and managed to stay on top of it all ! Your family can attest to that ! I was talking to our sister Cindy recently and she said something that stuck with me - she said Dawn It’s not what you have in this life - but what you leave behind ! 🙂 I say - Bravo Big Sister ! You should be so very proud of what you’ve accomplished ! Your family loves you very very much and you will be truly missed - but I know in my heart they have all the traditions and memories you’ve created along the way for them to carry on in the future within their own families !
You can now rest easy Syrena you’ve done a great job !

I am going to miss you Big Sister with all my heart ❤️ and it will be difficult to have to go on in this life without you ! I will miss the sound of your voice and your big sisterly advice and the conversations and memories we’ve shared together ❤️

I Love and miss you already Syrena !

Your Little Sister,

It has been 20+ years since I last saw you but I can still hear your laugh; it was so contagious that we all would laugh and sometimes not even know why we laughing! You were a wonderful mother and I am certain I got some of my motherly skills from watching you. May everyone find comfort in all the wonderful memories you all have shared with Syrena. Praying for peace and comfort for your family.

Dearest Russ, Crystal, Rusty and your entire family,

Come sit with me, Syrena.
Come sit at my kitchen table...
And have a cup of coffee with me.

Check outside my kitchen window...
a hummingbird is smiling, at you -
instead of me.

Hummingbird - came silently a calling
Hummingbird Angels,

Dressing in hummingbird regalia
to flutter with hummingbird speed...
To watch over loved ones, with hummingbird precision and angel qualities.

Syrena's joy and love, so boundless, how could she not be a chosen?
The council, well, they all agreed.

Ensuring she will guide and protect her loved ones,
And keep them safe and happy, so many memories.

So, I sit here at my table ,
Staring out my kitchen window ,
And with a smile - what do I see?
I see our Special Angel, in hummingbird regalia...
fluttering and comforting me.

I have the clearest vision...

I see the children happy...
Syrena's family, comforted, gathered...
Uplifted, sharing memories.
And right inside the garden, is our Syrena,
Our 'Special Angel',
Ensuring peace, love and tranquility.

With all my love and prayers,

Laura Forrest

It was always a joyful occasion when we shared our grandchildren's birthdays and holiday gatherings together. You really brought a bright light to each party! It was evident that your family was everything to you and your heart showed that each and every time we gathered together. And thank you for being such a good mother-in-law to my eldest son. There are so many people who don't have someone like you in their life - I'm grateful you were in his, and all of ours, for 20+ years. I'm also grateful that you raised the perfect soulmate for my son. Because of you, he has a wonderful wife and beautiful children. Thank you Syrena.

You were given such a Beautiful name and you filled the world around you with it’s true meaning for you were such an enchanting person. You we’re powerfully pleasing, delightfully charming and deeply moved all those who were blessed to know you.
I knew you as my girlfriends cool sister that drove her white barracuda while listening to Hearts Barracuda. I knew you as the Beautiful bride on your wedding day that became a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. You will forever be in my heart .
