Tom will sadly be missed, he was a very straight forward, no nonsense person that was also a great person that like help others. Having worked together a number of years at Cisco, he was good with a number of roles including Database/Systems Admin and project management. He was there when you needed something. Always dependable. His memories will always live on.

Condolences to the family.

There are a lot of good memories of Tom over the years. When we first met was in 1996 (I have to use the yyyy now). I was the ProEngineer expert and Tom was the System Administrator for Caterpillar. Oh, Starr worked there too and so did Beth for some time. Tom taught me how to be a UNIX Sys Admin and I have been doing that, to some capacity, since then. We always were good friends and when there was an opening at Cisco for a Sys Admin I asked him to apply. He was hired as if there would be any question, but he was snatched up by another group before my management was able to interview him, TACSUNS.

I would occasionally go visit him over in another building on campus and then one day he asked me to apply for an Oracle admin job and boom we were working together again. Those were some of the best times I had at Cisco. We used to have some of the best breakfast as a group, Zach, Jason (even when he farted while we were eating), Tom and myself. Yep, I look back on those days knowing we had a really good team.

When you have a friend like Tom you realize how wonderful life really is. He loved, he laughed, and he shared. He was not a selfish man and would often help even if help was not wanted. He would guide as he saw fit and would always have a smile doing it. Tom, if I had anything to say to you it is this "You are my best friend, father, brother, cousin that I have ever known."

Goodbye Tom. A mere nine years of working together was not enough. You will be missed.

I was saddened to hear of Tommy’s early passing. His grandmother and my grandmother were sisters. Archie and Margaret were my mother favorite cousins. I remember Jennie well and two little brothers. They were a happy family!
Siler City ‘s loss was certainly Cary’s gain! Many will miss him. My condolences to his family. Prayers and blessings to you.
Peace

If he was here right now I would tell him how much I love him and how much I will miss him everyday for the rest of my life. I would tell him thanks for being the best father a girl could have asked for.

Tommy Locke, you were taken from us way too soon! It breaks my heart that we won't get to share any more memories together! You were the sweetest, most kind-hearted person on this earth! You always knew what to say to make me laugh & smile! I hope you know how much I cared for you!

I've worked with Tom over the past few years but never got the pleasure to meet him in person. But what an amazing guy!
Probably one of the nicest folk you could ever want to work with, or just chat to.

All of the team here in Ops will miss you, and we'll be raising a glass to you soon.
