William Charles Board

William Charles Board, 31, of Cary, NC left us suddenly on Feb 19th. Will was born August 31, 1986 in Raleigh. He graduated from Cary High, earned two Associate degrees from Wake Tech Community College and was planning on returning to school soon. He most recently worked at Mellow Mushroom. Will had a steel trap mind, a sharp sense of humor and a love of well-executed sarcasm and making puns. He was exuberant, fun and believed strongly in being genuine about everything. He enjoyed observing life with a questioning and open mind, reading philosophy, hiking outdoors and going to the beach. He loved playing video games, watching movies and going to concerts with friends.

Will is survived by his parents, Ellen and Charles Board, his brothers, Benjamin and Nicholas, his beloved partner, Jessica Schore and best friend, Matt Thomas - all of Cary - and by grandparents, Katherine Bates of Black Mountain and William and Alice Board of Winston-Salem, and a large, loving extended family of aunts,uncles, and cousins and by the three pets that made up his happy family with Jess. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dr. Leslie Bates of Black Mountain.

A service celebrating Will’s life will be held at Kirk Of Kildaire Presbyterian Church in Cary on Sunday May 20 at 2:30 pm. Condolences may be offered at www.BrownWynneCary.com and the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Project Lazarus (link provided below)
