William David Gibson

William “Bill” David Gibson, of Cary, passed away on October 10, 2025. Bill was born in Baltimore, Maryland on January 23, 1958 to William D. Gibson and Joyce M. Gibson (nee Chenoweth). He was married to Debra Hanley for 31 years. Bill had a career in Information Technology and later accounting. He was Chief Financial Officer at Maricom Systems Inc. and Edwards Performance Solutions in Columbia, Maryland, before retiring. Bill enjoyed golf, the beach, cycling, travel, blues and jazz music, and weekly guitar and piano lessons. Mostly Bill enjoyed spending time with loved ones and friends.

Bill is preceded in death by his father William D. Gibson.

He is survived by his wife Debra, sons Ryan, Cory, and Sam, his mother Joyce, brothers Bryan and wife Paulette, Stephen and wife Regina, sisters Barbara, Colleen and husband Chris, niece Jordan, nephews Chris and wife Jen, Jared and partner Haley, grandnephews and grandniece.
