Will was born on June 4th, 1967 in Raleigh, NC to Faith Collins Sanford of Fuquay-Varina, NC and his late father, William Hobart Sanford of Willow Springs NC. He is survived by his mother, Faith; daughters, Crystal Carol Czeck of Fuquay-Varina, NC and Alexandria Helena McCormick of Cary, NC; and granddaughter, Julianne Kim Stewart. He resided in Cary, NC the entirety of his life and called it home.
A devoted 26 year long employee of the SAS Institute, Will worked as a Senior Network Technician. He loved his work and his SAS family. He considered it a blessing and a privilege every day to be a part of SAS and for the opportunities it provided him. He spoke highly of his colleagues over the years and felt loved and supported by them during his challenging journey with cancer.
Will learned the sport of golf with his late father and came to enjoy it so much that he became a deep lover of the game and spent many years developing and perfecting his skills. He was a passionate lover of music, learned to play the guitar at a very young age, and played often. Will also loved the games of football and hockey and was a huge fan of the Carolina Panthers and the Carolina Hurricanes.
Most importantly, Will loved his family and his friends and shared that his experience with cancer gifted him the opportunity to more deeply know the value of their presence in his life, and to feel and appreciate the depth of love they had for him and the support they gave him through his difficult journey. He was eternally grateful and humbled.
