very aggressive brain tumor. Her beloved sons and daughter in law were by her side.
Barbara was born on April 18, 1939, in Pennsylvania to Steve and Anna Nagy. As the oldest of six children, she learned
the values of family, leadership, and care early in life. On her 20th birthday, April 18, 1959, she wed the love of her life,
Gordon William Fasbender Jr. in Tacoma, Washington. Together with their sons, they shared a life full of adventure and
devotion, traveling the country from coast to coast. Gordon and Barbara eventually retired to the peaceful surroundings
of Luck, Wisconsin, where they owned and operated the Pine Grove Resort on Bone Lake, creating lasting memories for
their family and guests alike. Following the passing of her beloved husband, Barbara traded the Midwest winters for the
warmth and sunshine of Eloy, Arizona, where she permanently settled in the late Spring of 2025.
A dedicated homemaker, Barbara poured her heart into raising her two sons and caring for her family. She was a woman
of many passions; her hands were rarely still, whether she was meticulously working on her latest sewing project,
baking, tending to her vibrant gardens, or frequenting garage sales and thrift shops looking for that “must have” knickknack
or deal that just couldn’t be passed up. When taking a well-deserved break, she could most often be found
enjoying her favorite soap operas or losing herself in a good movie. In her last years she enjoyed sharing her unfiltered
humor and good times with Arizona friends and tormenting her son Gordon with her electronic device “challenges”.
Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Steve and Anna Nagy; her cherished husband of 57 years,
Gordon William Fasbender Jr., who passed away on October 18, 2016; and her siblings Steve Nagy, John Nagy and
Marilyn Stacy.
Her legacy of love lives on through her surviving family, including her sons, Gordon William Fasbender III of Eloy, AZ, and
Darren Edward Fasbender and his wife, Renae, of League City, TX. Grandchildren, Brennen (Taylor), Madeline (Ethan),
and Cameron, and great-granddaughter Arlo (Madeline and Ethan). She is also survived by her brother, Ralph Nagy, and
her sister, Joanne Yodonise.
