Carlos Manuel “Buddy” Soliz, 25, passed away on October 23, 2025, in Maricopa, Arizona. Born on March 12, 2000, in Chandler, Arizona, Carlos brought light and laughter into the lives of those who knew him.
Carlos was a young man with a boundless heart and an infectious spirit. Known affectionately as “Buddy,” he had a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life. He loved unconditionally and without judgment, embracing everyone for who they were. His warmth and compassion left a lasting impression on all who crossed his path.
From an early age, Carlos showed a deep love for animals and an insatiable curiosity about the world around him. He shared a special bond with his beloved pug, Velvetta, who was never far from his side. Fascinated by alien conspiracy theories and captivated by the mysteries of history—his favorite subject—Carlos often engaged in lively conversations about science and strange phenomena. He especially enjoyed learning interesting facts from his dads and sharing them with enthusiasm.
Carlos found joy in music and was rarely seen without his guitar nearby. Whether strumming chords or making up silly songs on the spot, he used music as another way to bring happiness to others. His sense of humor was one of his most cherished traits; he had a gift for being goofy at just the right moment to lift someone’s spirits or provoke a much-needed laugh.
More than anything, Carlos was known for being present—for listening deeply when someone needed to talk, offering thoughtful advice drawn from his own experiences or simply telling a story that helped others see things more clearly. His empathy and wisdom were beyond his years.
Carlos is lovingly remembered by his mother Melissa Braybrooks; fathers Chris Braybrooks and Carlos Soliz; daughter Anahi Soliz; sisters Destiny McClain and Paris Scott; brother Nicholas Soliz; and his loyal pug Velvetta. His memory is also held dear by extended family members and countless friends whose lives he touched.
He now joins in rest his grandmother Paula Garcia; great-grandmother Petra Soliz; great-grandfather Consepcion Soliz; uncle Robert Braybrooks; uncle David Andaverde; uncle Paul Andaverde; uncle Frank Andaverde; cousin Sergio Cochan and other loved ones from the Garcia, Soliz, and Andaverde families.
A celebration of Carlos’s life was held in Maricopa, Arizona on Friday, November 7th, 2025.
May the memory of Carlos Manuel “Buddy” Soliz continue to bring comfort to those who knew him and inspire others to live with the same open heart he so freely shared. A Celebration of Life will be held on November 7, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 02:00 PM at J Warren Funeral Services Cole and Maud The Gardens Chapel 525 N. Peart Rd.
