

David Mark Taber, age 71, of Canyon, Texas, passed away on May 15, 2026. Born on January 10, 1955, David lived a life filled with love for his family and friends, devotion to his country, and an unwavering commitment to the values he held dear.
David was a proud American who deeply loved his country and the freedoms it represented. He had a passion for hunting, firearms, and the outdoors, and he took great pride in displaying the American flag. Above all else, David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose greatest joy came from spending time with those he loved.
Known for his memorable sense of humor and his signature phrase, "Taber Mortuary, you bag 'em, we tag 'em," David had a unique ability to make people laugh and feel welcome. His kindness, generosity, and genuine spirit left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was truly loved and will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
David was preceded in death by his father, Charles W. Taber.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dedee Taber; his son, David Taber Jr.; his daughter, Stephanie Castellon; his granddaughter, Zoey R. Taber; his grandsons, Matthew Taber and Aiden Taber; and his brother, Chuck Taber, and sister-in-law, Rebecca Taber, of Arkansas.
David's family also includes David and Brianna Taber, Omar and Stephanie Castellon, Gudelia Espinoza, Martin and Angie Luna, Andres and Jennifer Martinez, Jordan and Jeanell Fernandez, Emilio and Brianna Luna, Shelby and Angie Bryan, Jimmy and Marissa Luna, Benny and Cindy Leos, Brian and Amalia Leos, and Billy Taber.
He is also survived by many cherished friends, including Paolo Misilagi, Ova Brewer, Shawn Osterman, and Nellie Flores, whose friendships enriched his life and brought him great joy.
A visitation will be held Thursday June 25th, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel, 525 N. Peart Road, Casa Grande, Arizona 85122.
A Committal Service will be held Friday June 26, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85024.
