

Delores “Putt” (Carlyle) Rodriguez, 69, of the Ak-Chin Indian Community, gained her angel wings surrounded by family and friends on August 26, 2026. She was born June 26, 1957, in Sacaton, Arizona, to the late Richard D. and Esther R. (Thomas) Carlyle.
Delores attended Maricopa Elementary School, Fort Apache Indian Boarding School, and Maricopa High School. Upon earning her GED, she served as a radio dispatcher for the Ak-Chin Police Department. She later taught at the Ak-Chin Early Childhood Development Program, where she eventually retired.
Delores was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who loved spending time with family, especially having cookouts. She is survived by her sister, Delia M. Carlyle; five children, Manuel (Diana) Garcia, Davis (Dorissa) Garcia, Octavio (Gianna) Machado, Irma Arellanes-Burgos, and Veronica (Marcos) Santiago; 26 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Colleen “Leeso” Carlyle-Padilla, and brother Hiram “Tweety” J. Carlyle.
Services will be held Friday, September 4, 2026, at 5:00 pm at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in the Ak-Chin Indian Community. Wake will follow at her residence, 16756 N. Antone Ave. Burial will be Saturday at 5:00 am. at the Ak-Chin Indian Community Cemetery.
