Dolores Lee Cragg

Dolores was born in Casa Grande on March 27, 1945, died on October 10, 2026 of ovarian cancer at 81 years old. She was surrounded by family and passed on her terms after a short eight week battle with the disease.

She was raised in Eloy by her parents, Rudolfo and Eva Moran in a family of nine brothers and sisters and two cousins. Dolores was the fifth child. Shy and reserved from youth, she excelled at all that challenged her. She attended Eloy schools and earned an AA degree at Yakima Valley College in Washington state.

She is survived by two adult children, Anna (Sean) Merryman and Tom (Elvira) Cortez, four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, Four brothers and sisters, Rose (Charlie) Leija, Rudy (Cindy) Moran, Vera (Dan)Schuller, and Ralph (Ruth) Moran and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Adela Gonzales, Gus Moran, Mary Guerrero, and Eva Cornejo, Effie Holbert and Frank Calderon. She is also survived by two adult step-children Mike (Paige) Cragg and Pahla (David) Bowers, 6 step grandchildren, and preceded in death by her stepdaughter Victoria Cragg

She met her second husband, Steve Cragg, in Yakima, Washington. They would have celebrated the beginning of their 41st year together on Halloween. Married in 1990, they traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Costa Rica. Together in their RV, they enjoyed seeing America up close and personal.

Dolores enjoyed traveling, color design, sewing, cooking, gardening, and her time as a Folklorico dancer. She loved spending time with her family and had such a tender heart. She was an avid reader and a loyal follower of Days of Our Lives and Jeopardy. She was a member of Saint Helen’s Catholic Church in Eloy. A memorial service will be held at J Warren Funeral Services, Casa Grande, AZ. 9:30 Visitation, 10:30 Rosary, 11:00 Scripture Service, Graveside services immediately following at Eloy Memorial Park Cemetery. A reception luncheon will be held at J. Warren Funeral Services Memory Gardens.
