Emily Elizabeth Valdez

July 17, 1990 – July 25, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emily Elizabeth Valdez, 35, of Coolidge, Arizona. She was born July 17, 1990, in Mesa, Arizona and died Friday, July 25, 2025, in an auto accident.

Emily was a devoted mother, partner daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, co-worker and cherished friend to so many. Her presence was a light in our lives – kind, strong and compassionate. She graced every day with laughter, caring for others, boundless energy and an immense capacity for love. We’ll remember her unwavering generosity and the warmth that she shared without hesitation.

A native Arizonan, Emily loved the desert lifestyle and always said her favorite season of the year was summer. She enjoyed all things outdoors, including mini-biking, yoga, paddling, rock hunting, and camping. She was always ready for the next adventure.

Emily is survived by her long-time partner and life love, Zach Ray, and her beloved daughter, Kaylee Valdez, as well as her emotional support dog Kongo Joe Ray. In addition, she leaves behind her mother, father figures, her sister, grandparents, uncles and aunts, nieces and nephews, cousins and countless friends.

A Celebration of Life for Emily will be held 9 a.m. Saturday, August 16th, at Sun Valley Community Church, Casa Grande Campus, 2016 N. Pinal Ave., Suite 6, Casa Grande, AZ 85122.
