July 1, 1942 – October 10, 2025
Flora Anaya Hill, whose name echoed the beauty she brought into the world, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, in Casa Grande, Arizona. She was born on July 1, 1942, in the quiet desert town of St. Johns, Arizona, where her journey began — rooted in the sun-soaked soil of the Southwest.
Flora bloomed into a woman of grace, resilience, and unwavering love — a true wildflower who weathered life’s seasons with quiet strength and dignity.
Her life was a garden nurtured by deep roots of family, shaped by sunlight and storms alike. She found beauty in simplicity, strength in silence, and joy in the laughter of her children, who survive her: Irene Nilsson, David Hill, Arthur Martinez, and Samantha Kane. She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter Bernadette Palmeeter.
To know Flora was to feel the calm of a soft breeze, the comfort of a shaded tree, the steady presence of someone who simply was — there, loving, listening, giving.
Though she has gone from this earth, her essence lingers like the scent of desert rain — subtle, lasting, unforgettable. Her memory will continue to blossom in the hearts of those who knew her and carry on in the lives she helped shape.
