Holland Rummels

He was born on October 18, 1950, in Rock Island, Illinois, to Wilkin Derrick Rummels

and Carrie Luella Holland Rummels. Cremation rites have been accorded. Per Holland’s

wishes, the family will not have a visitation, service, or repast. Riverside Cemetery,

Moline, Illinois is assisting the family.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Alma Rummels, Maricopa, Arizona. Sons,

Derrick (Retina) Rummels, Macomb, Michigan, Ricky Rummels, Jr, St. Louis, Missouri.

His stepchildren Roger (Mindy) Day, Hanover, Minnesota and Kim Day, Atlanta,

Georgia. His brother Melvin Rummels, Rock Island, Illinois, sisters Linda (Raymond),

Weathersbee, Los Angeles, California, Karen “Kay” Tibbs, Tucson, Arizona. A host of

grandchildren, a great grandchild, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.

Holland worked at Northwest Airlines in Minneapolis, Minnesota for 28 years when he

retired in 2011. Shortly thereafter (2012) he and his wife relocated to Maricopa, Arizona

where they became active members of the community until his passing.

In addition to his parents, Holland was preceded in death by his brothers Milton

Rummels, Darrell Rummels, Tommy Rummels and Terry Rummels. His sisters Ethel

Cook, Delores Duke, Gloria Rummels, Dothea “Dot” Jones, Constance Riddle and

Theresa “Resa” Rummels.
