March 24, 1940 – August 11, 2026
The world has lost an icon in Jack Lightle, whose remarkable life was
defined by hard work, faith, ingenuity, and an unwavering commitment
to family and friends. Jack was born on March 24, 1940, in Crowder,
Oklahoma, and passed away on August 11, 2026, while vacationing in
his beloved home state of Oklahoma and visiting family and friends.
A true Oklahoma entrepreneur, Jack dedicated himself wholeheartedly to every endeavor he
pursued. He was a tenacious and creative problem solver who never met a challenge he would
not tackle head-on. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to develop and operate numerous successful
businesses throughout his lifetime, including Star Floor Co. and Busy B Mobile Homes in
McAlester, Oklahoma; Green Country Youth Camp in Oklahoma; Carpet World in Rock Springs,
Wyoming; and J-Con Development in Maricopa, Arizona.
Jack was the kind of friend and business partner who could always be counted on to follow
through. His accounting methods were legendary among those who knew him best. He often
tracked projects on handwritten pages filled with expenses and notes, accompanied by receipts
carefully paper-clipped to each page. More than once, a napkin containing site plans, calculations,
and projected figures found its way into the stack. It was organized chaos at its finest. Yet somehow,
when those notes were transferred into a spreadsheet, the numbers always balanced.
Much like his business dealings, Jack lived a life firmly balanced by his faith in God’s Word,
his devotion to home and family, and his loyalty to friends and loved ones.
Jack was preceded in death by his son, Clinton Lightle; his son, Theodore Barnes; and his
grandson, Joshua Lightle.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Connie Lightle, of Maricopa, Arizona; his son,
Cameron Lightle and wife Sarah, of McAlester, Oklahoma; his son, Byron Barnes, of Maricopa,
Arizona; his niece, Claudia Weeks and husband Art, of Santa Cruz, California; his granddaughters,
Cheri Ellis and husband Greg, of McAlester, Oklahoma, Destiny Hurst and husband Brandon,
of Millbrook, Alabama, and Hayli Parker and husband Jonathan, of Krebs, Oklahoma; his
grandson, Jacob Lightle, of Chandler, Arizona; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Kamryn,
Gabe, Taylor, Mikayla, Kylee, Kennadi, Emma, Rynli, Daimon, Daniel, Shon, Samuel, Jack, and
Evangeline.
He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Dennis Zaragoza of Nebraska, Rick Tanner of Nebraska,
Mike Tanner of Nebraska, Reno Tanner of Oklahoma and Charles Parkhurst of Oklahoma.
While we feel the deep ache of loss here on earth, we also hold firmly to the joy and assurance
that Jack has been reunited with his Heavenly Father. His legacy of hard work, determination,
faith, generosity, and friendship will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.
