May 3, 1968 – August 12, 2026
Jose Herrera was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, loyal friend, and a man whose presence brought laughter, love, and warmth wherever he went.
Jose was born on May 3, 1968, in Durango, Mexico. He was raised in Los Angeles, California, where he discovered his love for music at a young age. While in high school, Jose learned how to DJ and turned his passion for music into a side gig that he enjoyed for nearly 20 years. Music was more than just a hobby to him—it was a part of who he was. Through music, he created memories, brought people together, and shared his energy and joy with everyone around him.Jose eventually made Arizona his home, where he lived for 22 years. On August 12, 2026, Jose passed away in Maricopa, Arizona, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a family who loved him more than words can express.
Above all else, Jose was a family man. He was a loving husband to Guadalupe and a devoted father to his two daughters, Cynthia and Kathy. He was also a proud grandfather to his granddaughter, Emily, who held a very special place in his heart.
Family meant everything to Jose. He was the person you could call when you needed someone. He was always willing to help, always ready to make you laugh, and always there for the people he loved. His generosity and caring nature made him someone his family and friends could depend on.
Jose had a personality that was impossible to forget. He was outgoing, funny, generous, and full of life. He could brighten a room with his humor and had a way of making the people around him feel comfortable and loved. His laughter and jokes will be memories that his family carries with them forever.
Jose loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed camping, hiking, and spending time with his beloved dogs, Loki and Thor. Loki and Thor were more than pets—they were part of Jose’s family and shared many of his adventures. His love for animals was just another reflection of his kind and caring heart.
He also enjoyed going to shooting ranges with family and friends, where he could spend time with the people he cared about and make memories together. Jose lived life in his own special way. He loved his family fiercely, loved his music, loved his animals, and never took for granted the time he had with the people around him.
His passing leaves an emptiness that words cannot fully describe. His family will miss his voice, his laughter, his jokes, his stories, and simply having him there. They will miss the little things that once seemed ordinary but will now mean everything. There will always be moments when they wish they could call him, hear him laugh, or sit beside him one more time. But although Jose is no longer here physically, the love he gave will never leave. His memory lives on through Guadalupe, Cynthia, Kathy, Emily, Loki and Thor, and through every family member and friend whose life he touched. His stories will be told. His laughter will be remembered. His music will continue to play. And the love he gave so freely will remain in the hearts of those who knew him. Jose was deeply loved, and he will be deeply missed.
Rest peacefully, Jose.
Until we meet again, know that you will forever be loved, forever remembered, and forever missed.
