Kevin grew up in Arizona surrounded by a close and loving family. He carried the strong values and gentle spirit taught by his late parents, Rafael and Jane Montijo, throughout his life.
He graduated from Casa Grande Union High School in 1992 and went on to earn his degree from Northern Arizona University, where he was a proud member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity. His long career in health care reflected his deep compassion and lifelong commitment to helping others.
Kevin is survived by Beth, and their two children, Gavin and Logan, who gave him purpose in his world. He is also survived by his siblings, Terry Montijo, Yvonne (Jose) Jimenez, Joseph (Michelle) Montijo, and Manuel Ibanez. His nieces and nephews—Jacqueline, Jonathan, Mia, Carlos, Jacob, and Sebastian—will always remember his warmth, humor, and the special time he spent with each of them.
A man of faith, Kevin lived his beliefs through kindness, service, and his involvement in the Catholic Church. He was active in the South Lyon community, where his easygoing nature and genuine friendship touched many lives. He became a loyal Michigan Wolverine fan while still rooting for the Arizona State Sun Devils.
Kevin cherished his friendships deeply. With his lifelong friends— Eric Fossen, Felix Soto, Christi Saucedo, Sara Fossen, Patricia Laramee and Jennifer Shilling—he shared decades of laughter, loyalty, and unforgettable memories.
Kevin will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and steady devotion to his family and friends. His life touched many, and his memory will remain a source of comfort and love for all who knew him.
