Martha Mattia Watson, 69, passed away on September 4, 2026. Born July 8, 1957, Martha lived in Arizona City, Arizona, and will be remembered with deep respect for the steady care and devotion she gave to those around her. Her life reflected a quiet strength and a constant readiness to put family first, offering support in ways both seen and unseen.
Martha found joy in simple, meaningful pursuits. She enjoyed beading and going to Pow-wows, and her love for animals was a natural extension of her gentle spirit. Above all, Martha was always taking care of others—especially her family—living each day with a sense of responsibility, warmth, and enduring commitment.
Martha is survived by her husband, John Andrew Watson III; her son, Michael Joe Mattia; five siblings, Leonard Mattia, Cynthia White, Janice Rubio, Joanna Mattia, and DelRoy Narcia; and three grandchildren, Jasmine, Sedona, and Simone Mattia.
Services will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026, at District five Service Center at 6:00 p.m., Bapchule, Arizona. Burial will be on Saturday, September 26 at West Casa Blanca Cemetery aka Cowboy Cemetery at 6:00 a.m., Rodeo Rd. North of Nelson Rd.
