AK-CHIN - Mercedes Aryssa Garcia, 11, died on July 26, 2015, as a result of a traffic accident.Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to midnight Friday at the Ak-Chin gym. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 6 a.m. Aug. 8 at St. Francis Catholic Mission. Burial will be in Ak-Chin Cemetery. Mercedes was born on April 17, 2004, in Chandler. She attended St. Francis and was an elementary school student. She loved playing sports and played basketball for the Copa Crew. She loved spending time with her family and friends and was very spontaneous and outgoing. She brought smiles and happiness to everyone who knew her.Mercedes is survived by her parents, Della White and L. Adam Garcia of Ak-Chin; a brother, Jalen M. Garcia of Ak-Chin; a sister, Mariella A. Garcia of Ak-Chin; and grandparents, Luis E. Garcia of Tucson, Betty J. Vargas of Ak-Chin, James C. and Stella F. White of Casa Blanca.J.
