Richard Allan Luther

Rick was born in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Geraldine and Bernard Luther. Along with Cyndi Luther, he was the proud and devoted father of Adam Luther and Bradley Luther. Rick was an ever present supporter of his sons, coaching their baseball teams, playing catch in the yard and always cheering from the sidelines.

He is also survived by siblings David Luther (Mary) and Susan “Luthie” Hughes (Dave) as well as nieces and nephews, cousins and longtime friends.

After earning a B.B.A. degree in Accounting from Ohio University, Rick moved to California, completing an MBA at Pepperdine University. He built a successful thirty year career in finance in Southern California.

In 2020, Rick embraced retirement in Casa Grande, AZ. He found peace in the rugged beauty of the desert and mountains. He shared his last years with his rescue dog and loyal companion, Sadie.

Rick will be remembered for his kindness, quick wit, endless stories and willingness to help others. A lifelong Cleveland sports fan, his loyalty never wavered for his beloved Browns, Indians and Cavaliers.
