Rosa Juanita Olveda was born on April 14, 1964, in Arizona City, Arizona, and peacefully entered eternal rest on December 8, 2025, in Casa Grande, Arizona. After a courageous and grace-filled 23-year battle with cancer, Rosa’s earthly journey came to an end, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and joy that will forever be cherished. Rosa spent eight years in Arizona City and the final four years of her life in Casa Grande, where she continued to surround herself with family and friends. She found her greatest happiness in family gatherings, especially when her beloved grandchildren were near. Her laughter—loud, contagious, and unforgettable—could fill any room and lift every spirit. It was a sound that brought comfort, joy, and a sense of home to all who heard it. With a heart rooted in compassion, Rosa was always giving to those in need, offering kindness freely and without expectation. Her generosity, warmth, and unwavering love touched countless lives and will be remembered long after her passing. Rosa is lovingly survived by her three children, Jose Zavala, Erica Zavala Parker, and Eric Zavala, who were the pride and joy of her life. She is also survived by her siblings Josie Lopez, Fernando Olveda, and Irene Burruel.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Martina Olveda; her father, Thomas Olveda; and her sisters Stella Uribe, Maria Olveda, Delores Guadian, Beatrice Olveda, Paulina Juarez, Yolanda Castillo, and Esther Reyes, who now welcome her with open arms.
Services will be held on January 2nd at Passion Church. Burial will take place on January 5th at 10:00 a.m. at Eloy Memorial Park.
Rosa Juanita Olveda will be remembered for her unshakable strength, her generous and loving heart, and the laughter that brought light to every life she touched. Though she has gone from our sight, she will never leave our hearts.
