Roxanne Marie Nuckols, 59, of Arizona City, Arizona, passed away peacefully at home on November 12, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born in Harris County, Texas, on February 19, 1966, Roxanne spent 39 years in Tucson, Arizona, where she built a life defined by grit, loyalty, and love.
Roxanne was wild, free-spirited, tough as nails, and unapologetically herself. She loved fishing, camping, and being outdoors—anywhere she could feel the sun, breathe fresh air, and live life on her own terms. Her boldness, humor, and fierce love for her family were unmatched, and her heart was big enough to welcome anyone who needed a home.
Roxanne raised a beautifully blended family with unwavering devotion. She was a mother to many—two biological children and six children she lovingly adopted or took in as her own. Her children include: Michael Call, Jerry Nuckols, Hillary Ryback, Heather Ryback, Amber Ryback, John Ryback, Topanga Davis, and Octavia Davis.
She was a proud grandmother to John, Noah, Alexis, Aiden, Syanne, Max, James, and Jordan, and a great-grandmother to Izza and Lulu, each of whom brought her tremendous joy.
Roxanne is survived by her brother Jerry Nuckols, her sister Debbie Nuckols, her loving stepmother Betty S., and her best friend of many years, Jamie Whitehead, who remained by her side through every chapter of life. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gerald Nuckols and Gail Welch, as well as her beloved sister Angie Perry.
Over the years, Roxanne opened her home and her heart to countless children, offering love, guidance, and stability to anyone who needed it. Her loyalty was unshakable, her honesty direct, and her love fierce. She leaves behind a legacy of strength, compassion, resilience, and a family stitched together by her enormous heart.
Roxanne was stronger than most, loved harder than she ever admitted, and fought every battle life handed her with fire in her spirit. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.
