Born on October 26, 1945, in Budapest,Hungary. Steve built a life defined by hard work, determination, and caring for others. He spent nearly 40 years in eastern Pennsylvania before making Arizona his home for the past 17 years.
Steve was the kind of person who could fix almost anything. He had a natural talent for understanding how things worked and genuinely enjoyed taking things apart, solving the problem, and putting them back together better than before. Whether helping family, friends, or neighbors, he was always willing to lend a hand and never hesitated when someone needed help.
He also had a deep love for photography and videography. Through his camera, Steve found joy in capturing everyday moments, family memories, and the people he loved. Those videos and photographs will remain treasured reminders of the life he shared with others.
Strong-willed and fiercely independent, Steve left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He worked hard throughout his life and faced challenges with determination and resilience. He showed his love through his actions — by helping others, sharing his knowledge, and always being there when someone needed him most.
Steve is survived by his daughter, Erika Meyers; his brother, Jozsef Gendur; and his cherished grandchildren, Torin Meyers and Cassidy Meyers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Istvan Gendur and Maria (Nyerges) Gendur.
At Steve’s request, no formal services or viewing will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Disabled American Veterans or to a disabled veteran’s charity of your choice.
