Warren’s early years were shaped by a strong family foundation, with cherished memories of his parents, Warren William Sr and Mary Stapleton, and his siblings. Though some of his beloved family members have preceded him in passing—his father and mother, sisters Ava Leavitt and Jane Hendrickson, and brothers Donald and Roger Stapleton—the bonds between them remained an ever-present part of his heart.

Warren’s enduring partnership with his wife, Nancy Stapleton, was a testament to love and commitment. Together, they raised a family characterized by warmth and mutual support. Warren is survived by Nancy, his beloved spouse, and their three children: son Warren Stapleton, and daughters Melissa Taff and Jennifer Layton. Warren’s influence and affection also extended to his surviving siblings, Sandra Stapleton, Mary Lou Spring, and Barb Durand, who held a special place in his life.

His professional journey was marked by a career with US railways, where he contributed his skills and work ethic, becoming a valued colleague and friend to many. In addition to his career, Warren selflessly served his country as an Army Vietnam Veteran—a role that spoke volumes of his courage and sense of duty.

Warren’s vibrant personality shone through in his hobbies and interests. He truly loved sports, whether watching or playing golf, and his devotion as an avid Buffalo Bills fan was legendary among friends and family. The joy he took in creating his intricate Christmas villages brought a sense of enchantment and anticipation to the holiday season every year, becoming a treasured tradition. Daily crossroads in local life and pursuits, along with an enthusiasm for reading, shaped his days and reflected a mind always open to new experiences and connections.

Throughout his life, Warren exemplified kindness, commitment, and an unwavering loyalty to those he loved and the causes he supported. He has left behind a tapestry of cherished memories, acts of quiet generosity, and a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

He will be missed dearly by his family and all whose lives he touched. Warren’s steadfast presence, quiet strength, and ready smile will remain a guiding light for those who move forward with his memory in their hearts.
