Alice J. Jones

August 25, 1938 - September 5, 2020

Alice Jones, 82 of Castle Rock, Colorado peacefully joined her heavenly father on September 5, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. She is survived by her children, Christopher Marquez (Delmarie), Brenda Bowler (Vincent) and Michael Marquez; grandchildren Naome, Davina, Yvonne and Jesse; great grandchildren, Kyle and Aubree; and her brother, Ernie Castillo (Cathey). She is preceded in death by her brother Manual, son Thomas and beloved husband of 45 years, Philip Jones next to whom she will be laid to rest.

Alice was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and attended services whenever possible. She found peace in prayer. Alice was a nurse and despite her professional accomplishments, she was always modest and focused on the needs of others. Her empathy led her to shed tears of pain at every bit of suffering she saw in the world and tears of gratitude for the joy and kindness of others. Alice had a kind and gentle soul and brought much happiness to the lives she touched during her time on earth up to her final moments. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

I first met Alice just before Naomes' wedding. On a day that was very hectic she kept us all calm. She quietly steamed the bride's dress and asked what else she could do. She held my hand as my nerves built up before " pinning" the star on my son's uniform. I'm sure memories of her Phillip flooded her mind, but she held them tight. I'll forever miss her gentle ways. Rest in peace, Alice.
