Bobby grew up in Litchfield, CT, where she attend Litchfield High School. She later attended The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, where she received her bachelor’s degree. She was the only child to Hugh and Katherine Macgibbon.
After graduation, she became a flight attendant for TWA. Following her time in the skies, she made a career as a travel agent. In that work, Bobby’s spirit for discovery found its natural home—she traveled all over the world, an experience that remained one of her greatest joys and reflected a life lived with bright enthusiasm and an open, generous heart.
Bobby was a member of St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Sebastopol, CA since the mid 70s. Her steady presence and goodwill were felt by many; she was known as kind and loving, forgiving, dependable, and a friend to all who asked. She was also like a sister to her cousin Gene Osborne, a bond that spoke to the depth of her loyalty and care.
She loved traveling and loved her black cats, finding simple happiness in the comforts of home as well as in the wider world beyond it.
Bobby is survived by two sons: Kurt (Joy) Kissmann and Rolf Kissmann.
