Rebecca A. “Becky” Moseley, age 88, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025. Born on June 10, 1936, in Centerville, Iowa, she was the loving daughter of George and Helen (Shearer) Hawkins. Becky was a devoted wife to David L. Moseley, with whom she shared 39 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in 2006.
Raised in the Iowa/Illinois Quad Cities area, Becky moved to Colorado in 1978, where she made her home and created many lasting memories. A passionate lover of Arabian horses, Becky spent years raising and training them for competitions. When she wasn’t with her horses, Becky loved spending time with her family. Whether traveling, bowling, or enjoying the serenity of the mountains, especially Estes Park, she cherished every moment with her loved ones.
Becky had a playful spirit and loved card games, particularly bridge and Canasta. She was also known for being a fierce competitor at family table games—she was a champion at Trivial Pursuit and Pictionary! Christmas held a special place in Becky’s heart, and she made sure to celebrate the holiday with all the joy and enthusiasm it deserved, showering her family with love and unforgettable memories.
Becky will be deeply missed by her children: Terry DeBaker (and wife April), Jennifer Firebaugh (and husband Jerrod), Connie Edmonds, Marcey Thomas Bryan, and James Thomas. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her grandchildren: Katie Smafield, Michael DeBaker, Andy Firebaugh, Sydney Firebaugh, Samantha Firebaugh, Chris Edmonds, Julie Edmonds, Amanda Thomas, Tyler Thomas, and Katya Thomas Bryan; and great-grandchildren: Ace Wisneski, Jack Smafield, and Peyton Edmonds. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband David, her brother Thom Hawkins, her sister Janie McNeal, and her infant brother Raymond Hawkins.
