Brian Robert Shoemaker, age 84, passed away on November 19, 2025. He was born in Los Angeles, California, on May 8, 1941 and was a California native until 1998, when he and his wife, Peggy, moved to Durango, Colorado. They eventually moved to Castle Rock, Colorado, to be closer to their grandsons.
Brian was married for 48 years to his beloved wife, Peggy Shoemaker, who preceded him in death in 2018.
He is survived by his children, Eric Shoemaker and Amy Wolfe, and his grandchildren, Gavin Shoemaker, Samuel Wolfe, and Benjamin Wolfe.
Brian enjoyed going on walks, going to church, and spending time with his beloved cat, Millie. He had a lifelong love of railroads and trains and especially enjoyed scenic train rides. He also enjoyed camping in places he loved, including the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Central California coast, particularly Morro Bay, and Estes Park, Colorado.
He will be deeply missed.
