Brian Thomas Van Sicklin left this world on January 5, 2024. Brian was born August 13, 2001 in Englewood, Colorado to Debra and Thomas Van Sicklin. He lived his life in Castle Rock, CO and is a graduate of Renaissance High School.
All who knew Brian, know that he was a funny, larger-than-life, gregarious, and a very artistic person. Brian loved “Big Red”, his GTI and then his GSXR motorcycle. He loved to go fast, like his life. He was an artist, and loved fashion and creating clothing (painting and drawing on shoes and shirts), canvases, and his most passionate work: body art. He was striving to be a tattoo artist. Brian was an avid skier,
snowboarder, and all-around loved being in the great outdoors. There surely was a soft spot in his heart for all animals, except those pesky squirrels and mice.
From a very young age, Brian was curious and collected all kinds of Knick knacks and gadgets,
if you knew Brian, you know exactly what this means (little hands).
Throughout his life, he had extreme compassion for people, with a side of spunk. Brian loved hard and pushed others to be better. He cared very deeply, especially his Mom, Dad, sister and brother. The several mission trips he took to Louisiana, Puerto Rico and Seattle were yet another way he showed his caring for all. He truly left his BOLD mark on this world.
With a very troubled heart, Brian leaves behind his mother and father Debra and Thomas Van Sicklin, his sister Emily Van Sicklin and his brother Michael Van Sicklin. A slew of Aunts and Uncles, many cousins, and many, many friends. Brian is preceded in death by his grandparents Sharon Bruen, Dennis Bruen, Ralph and Anne Van Sicklin.
Brian is loved so very much and will be missed by all of those who he left behind.
We lost you.
But not like how one
Misplaces their keys.
You cannot just walk away
and forget to take your heart with you.
You were taken. Pulled into another world.
We will still search for you everywhere
But we know we won’t find you here.
