Clifford Matthew Wright, 54, passed away on July 4, 2026. Born in Fort Riley, Kansas, on January 20, 1972, Clifford lived in Denver, Colorado, and built a life marked by steady work, deep devotion, and an enduring commitment to those he loved.
Clifford graduated from Metropolitan State University, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Behavioral Health—an achievement that reflected both discipline and a sincere regard for people and their well-being.
Throughout his life, Clifford built and led multiple businesses across different industries, consistently pursuing new challenges and opportunities. His work ethic was evident not only in what he accomplished, but in the determination and responsibility he brought to each endeavor.
Beyond work, Clifford found joy in motorcycles, cars, live music, and community. Yet his greatest passion was being a great dad and an active grandfather—roles he carried with purpose, presence, and unwavering care.
Clifford’s faith was a guiding strength. He was a member of the 2nd Baptist Missionary Church of Oceanside, California, established on March 17, 1971, by his grandfather, Reverend Wendell Wright. He also served as president of the Street Soldierz mother chapter, which he joined in 2006, living out its spirit: “Leave no man behind.”
In remembering Clifford, the words that helped shape his life remain close: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7). And with hope, the promise is held: “What we have lost, we will find again.”
Clifford is survived by his children: Raja Renee Gilmore, Zaire Rene Wright-Artman, Zuri Marie Louis Pierre (née Wright), Alivia M Wright, Tate J. Wright, Jamir Todd, Zjanai S. Wright, Jersey R. Wright, and Ki'jon Wright; and his grandchildren: Grace Elizabeth Artman, Lily Michele Artman, Blossom Giselle Wright, Raquai Ries Gilmore, Milla Jocelyne Louis Pierre; his father, William R Wright; his father, Michael Galles; his mother, Phyllis D.
