Curtis Neil Dues
May 29, 1944 – November 23, 2019
DUES, Curtis Neil – age 75, died Saturday November 23, 2019 in Parker, Colorado. He was born May 29, 1944 in Flint Michigan. He served in the Navy and made his living as a Master Plumber, first in Michigan then in Colorado before retiring to enjoy life in Parker. He was a member of the Jaycees for several years while in Michigan.
He was an avid photographer, loved cooking, and travel in all forms whether cruising, driving in the motorhome or going to the Colorado mountains to spend several weeks each year in his timeshares. Most of all he loved his family and his church. Although becoming a Christian in his later years, he loved studying the Bible and the family are comforted by knowing he is safely with his Lord.
Left to cherish his memory is Judith (Jude) Kay Wright Dues, who he married on April 17, 1965. They had four children and 13 foster children. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, son Bret (Hazel) Dues of Northglenn, Colorado, daughters Jacquelyn (Gary) Cope of Goodyear, Arizona, Jaime (Norm) Raffaell of Pocatello, Idaho, and Jennifer Stevens also of Pocatello, Idaho, and by his 13 grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Russell, Norman and Barry (Bonnie) Dues, his sister, Bethany (Larry) Taylor, many nieces and nephews and an extended family of beloved friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents Monty O. Dues and Viola Pearl Dues, sister Marla Lafferty and brothers Marshall and Dale Dues and his much loved in-laws Nelson and Norma Wright.
At his request he has been cremated. There will be a Celebration of Life for him on Tuesday, December 3 at 5:00 p.m. at the Parker Church of Christ, 11405 North Pine Drive, Parker Colorado.
