Dennis Hoffman, 69, of Castle Rock Colorado, passed away on April 24th 2020 in Castle Rock Colorado.

Dennis was born on July 13th 1950 to Harold Sr and Minnie Hoffman in Oak Creek Colorado. Dennis graduated from Douglas County High School in 1968.

In 1968, he met Kathryn Webb of Sheridan Colorado while they both worked at Swedish Medical Center.

On August 1st 1970 they tied the knot, going on to have 2 children, Philip and Rebecca.

Like many young men, Dennis had a number of jobs throughout his professional career. Dennis always loved cars, and working on them was a favorite pastime. Dennis opened his auto body business called Connection Auto Body in Castle Rock Colorado in the early 80’s. His son Phil and father Harold would be seen down there helping out on many days of the week. It was a family ran business that’s for sure..

Dennis started working as a facility’s Operations Manager for the nonprofit organization Family Tree, as a way to serve those in need.

Dennis retired from Family Tree in 2015, he then spent his time with his wife Kathy and their poodle Sassy Frass. He also enjoyed as many moments he could get being with his 3 granddaughters. Dennis and Kathy would often go camping, riding ATV’s and making the trip “Up The hill” to Blackhawk or Cripple Creek. As many knew Dennis had a passion for his Hawaiian print shirts. Many will remember him wearing a new one everyday to work to spread joy and make the cold winters a little “warmer” with Hawaiian style.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father Harold Sr (1988), his mother Minnie (2002) and oldest brother Harold Jr.

Dennis is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy of Castle Rock Co, son Phil (Debi) of Littleton Co, daughter Becky (Will) of Castle Rock Co, 3 granddaughters (Cami, Olivia and Ava) of Castle Rock Co, Sister Barbara (Larry) of De Soto Ks, Sister Bonnie (Ron) of Craig Co. Plus many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Amazing Grace Pet Rescue (Please see the link below), in support of the love and compassion that Dennis had for animals.

Dennis,
I am so sorry and very sadden that you moved to heaven. I will miss you so much. I thank God that I met you at Family Tree in May 2007. You were (still are) a huge role model for me and I looked up (never will stop) to you! I will miss our chats, morning coffee, and Nature Valley Oats -n- Honey granola bar snacks at Family Tree sitting in your office AND I will never forget you and Ron "shooting the stuff" chatting about work, and life. Your laugh, your kindness, your integrity, your honesty, your gentleness, your love for Kathy, Becky, Phil, and especially your grandbabies Cami, Olivia, and Ava. When you talked about "Papa's girls" nothing else was as IMPORTANT!!! I miss you so much. Thank you for your friendship and love!! Thank you for becoming Angelena (Angie) Cole's Papa after her own Papa moved to heaven April 19, 2015.
I need to find me an Hawaiian shirt to buy and wear now.
I love you forever and I will miss you always AND you will NEVER be forgotten in my heart, mind, and life!!
💜💞💙💔😭
Love, Mae

Working at Rolling Hills, is how I met Dennis. The staff was like a family. I will forever cherish my memories of Dennis Hoffman.
He was hard working, loved his family , and was a genuine friend. I feel blessed that he touched my life.

I have to admit that I was a Daddy's girl.
When I became a woman dad walked me down the aisle, and gave me away with a bittersweet smile.

When I gave birth, he was there, to greet my little one and say Hello, I love you my sweet girlfriend.

And now that man who loved me, and wrapped me in arms so strong has gone where I can't reach him, but my love for him lives on.

I'll keep his memory alive, and honor all he believed, and just feel so very grateful
For all his love that I received.

Love you dad-Boo❤️
