Donald Anthony Heacock was born June 8, 1964 to Max and Kay Heacock in Englewood, Colorado. He was baptized in the Catholic Church as an infant. Don attended school, grades K - 4 in Englewood. The family moved to Castle Rock in 1974 and Don finished elementary, junior high and high school in the Douglas County Schools. After High School, Don moved back to Denver and attended Denver Automotive while working as a mechanic, He worked as a mechanic for several years and then finished his working career in the Maintenance Department for Douglas County Schools.

Don moved back to Castle Rock after his marriage to Lauren Ballard. His daughter, Mikeely Elizabeth was born March 25, 1997. Don always felt that Mikeely was the best thing he ever did and she was the light of his life. Don lived life to the fullest. He loved fast, powerful trucks and snowmobiles and he loved his horses. He was rarely seen without his western hat and cowboy boots on.

Don became a resident of Brookside Inn, Castle Rock, in January 2014 when the progression of the Huntington's Disease made it impossible for him to live independently. He left this life on June 20, 2018 in their loving care surrounded by family and friends.

Don will always be remembered for his sharp, quick wit and great sense of humor. We miss him so much, but Praise God that he has been released form the grip of his dreadful disease. We love you Don !

The Heacock men were some of the first to make me feel welcome to Castle Rock 35 years ago. My prayers are with Max & Dave. May you and your families receive the comfort of the eternal father God.
Heartfelt regards

I met Donnie in meetings. He was always "happy to be here". He inspired me. He loved this passage: "We shall be with you in the Fellowship of the Spirit, and you will surely meet some of us as you trudge the Road of Happy Destiny. May God bless you and keep you--until then."

Bless you, Donnie. A sweet, kind man.

The thing I remember most about Don, is how he could light up a room with that smile.
I am sad for your loss, but somehow I can see a Big yellow truck in Heaven out tearing up the grass.
God bless you and your family.

As young cousins, we had so so much fun whenever we were all together. I remember many fun times at Grandpa Tony's and Grandma Kay's house. We were so onery and we were so happy whenever we got away with something that our parents didn't find out about.....but that wasn't too often. I know that Kay and Darcie are happy to receive him in heaven. This disease is so destroying to a person, I am glad his suffering is over. Sincerely, Carmen (Edwards) Mackey #1 Edwards cousin
