He met Jennie (Phillips) during his time at Rangely and they were married on May 31,1967, in Picayune, Mississippi.
After being drafted, Don proudly served for the US Army from 1967 to 1969, stationed in Germany. He began his 35 year career with The Adolph Coors Company in 1970 and retired in 2005.
Don and Jennie loved to travel and visited places, family, and friends all over the world. His family was his most cherished accomplishment.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Jennie, daughter Juli (Devon), and precious grandchildren, Kailee Marie, Madison Rylee, and Jackson Anthony. He was preceded in death by his son, Adam Kawulok (1973 - 2015).
Don will be interred in a private service, with honors, at Ft Logan National Cemetery in Denver. He was loved by all and will be dearly missed. Doc will be remembered as a loving husband and father, proud grandfather, uncle, cowboy, friend, patriot and US Army Veteran. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Don’s name to the Wounded Warriors Project.
