Edwin Wood Hartough who died on Monday, September 24th, was the oldest of five brothers and was born in Huntington, Long Island NY on July 4th, 1926. He was a Mayflower descendant and his ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War and served in all the conflicts through Vietnam. He was in the U.S. Army in WWll serving in the European Theater. He and his wife Florence of 59 years, moved to Castle Rock, CO in 1999. Edwin was a proud member of Civitan International and flipped hamburgers at charity events, handed out candy canes as he rang the bells at Christmas for Civitan and the Salvation Army. He is survived by wife Florence, brothers Ira, Bruce, and Leon, son Thomas and wife Kathy, son Brian and wife Margie, daughter Susan and husband Lloyd Patterson, 6 grandsons, 3 granddaughters,
2 great-granddaughters, and two more great-grandchildren coming soon to join our family. He will be greatly missed!
