When I was little kid I remember summertime as Little League, you came to all my games and cheered me on, the beach, where you gave me my love for the water, all the fresh milk, O.J., butter, and eggs that you brought from Oak Tree, one of my favorite meals is still scrambled eggs and toast. I remember fishing  down at the dock and catching that giant channel eel that almost pulled me into the water. You grabbed me before I went over and we fought it on that old bamboo pole until we landed it. I remember going to the drive in, Mom made the best iced tea and popcorn, and during intermission we'd share ice cream sandwiches and a meatball hero you'd get from the snack bar. I wasn't ever afraid because I knew you and mom proctected me and I never wanted for anything. I loved our house and especially my room. I could smell all the goodness coming from the kitchen because the exhaust fan was almost under my window. I remember you lying on the couch, reading your paper and watching the news on TV at the same time. I also got my love for lying on the couch from you. As a little kid my life was my bike, baseball, and beach  in the summer and Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas my sled and snowball fights in the winter. Today's October 2 and when I was little I'd already be planning what I was going to be for Halloween. The reason I love motorcycles so much is because of the love I have for my old bike. All I think of a motorcycle is that its a bigger bicycle that I don't have to pedal. I remember you taking all the kids on their sleds and pulling us behind the car after a good snowfall. I remember you taking us down to the Crescent Club to go sledding. I'm just trying to say what a great life I had as a little kid. No worries, all roads were straight and you and Mom took care of everything. Thats why growing up was so hard for me. I had to leave that little, perfect bubble in time and grow up. God Dad I miss being a little kid with you, Mom, Brian, Susan, Tinka, and everything else. When you miss something like I miss that I've had to look back and say to myself ,"It really wasn't all that great." I lied to myself because I missed it so bad my whole adult life. I never wanted to grow up. I hated growing up. You guys did too good a job with me when I was little. I've lived many places but 401 6th St. will be the only home I ever had. Thank you Dad. Thank you Mom. It's funny. When I was a kid I always got asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I finally know the answer. I want to be back there with all you guys and be a little kid again.

Ed always welcomed me with a smile and some good stories, even if I woke him up the night before with my drunken shenanigans. He always accepted me for who I was.  I'm sure he'll be missed by many, but the wonderful memories will live on.

Not only have I lost a good friend, but a "brother". Ed took over looking after me when my brother Richard went into the Navy. Joe Cacioppo is another "big brother" and I love them both dearly. These three guys were inseperable. Rest well Ed, love to Florence and all your family,

Ed (Grampy) had the most gentle and beautiful heart welcoming everyone into his, we will all miss him so much.  
Please hug each other when you are together because that is what he would do, he loved all of us.
