Elsie Jacobs

Elsie Jacobs, age 86 of Parker, passed away on July 21, 2024. She was born on December 16, 1937 in Kansas, the daughter of Michael and Frances (Kreutzer) Legleiter. Elsie married Harvey Jacobs and they celebrated 44 years of marriage before his passing in 2000.

Elsie will be remembered for her strong will, her positive attitude, and her deep love of family. Elsie was a skilled seamstress who owned her own drapery company for over 20 years and worked as a salesperson for Macy’s for another 15 years. She was the devoted matriarch of her family who loved spending time with and supporting her husband and children. She was an avid gardener who was gifted with a green thumb. In her spare time, Elsie enjoyed travel, cards, playing bridge, Bingo, and was a chocolate connoisseur.

Elsie leaves behind her children Tammy Rothbauer, Lorraine Ward, Elaine Musselman and her husband Ray, Cindy Smith and her husband Stan, Judy Drago and her husband Riccardo, and Harvey Jacobs, Jr.; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and 7 siblings.

A visitation for Elsie will be held Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel, 407 Jerry Street, Castle Rock, Colorado 80104. A funeral service will occur Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 3:00 PM, 407 Jerry Street, Castle Rock, Colorado 80104. A graveside service will occur Monday, August 5, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, Colorado 80236.
