Ernest received his bachelor's degree of Science from Tuskegee University and later went on to earn his master's degree from Michigan State University. He met the love of his life, Jeanette Williams, while attending school in Alabama. They were married May 21, 1962 and raised their 5 children together in San Diego, California.
Ernest had a career in Food Service Management. He worked for Marriott, the State of Michigan, and San Diego City Schools. After he retired, Ernest and Jeanette moved to Colorado. He was a devoted husband and loving father with a passion for gardening, cigars, jazz music and sports.
Ernest is survived by his wife Jeanette; his children: Cassandra, Michael, Kevin, Raymond, and Kateya; his grandchildren: Spencer, Taylor, Caitlin, Cassidy, Sabrina, Tristan, Gianna, Addison and Graysen; great-grandchildren: Holden, Violet, and Theodore; his siblings: Elizabeth and Ernestine.
He is predeceased by his mother Alberta Fisher Macon; father Roosevelt Macon; brothers Raymond and Roosevelt "Jr. Boy"; and his sister Alberta.
