

He was born in North Hornell, NY. Foster graduated from Arkport Central School and received his PhD in Ceramic Science from Alfred University.
He shared 42 years of marriage and many wonderful adventures with Marilyn K Harding.
Foster had a career as an Engineer and Scientist at Brockway Glass (PA) followed in 1978 by Johns Manville (CO) until his retirement in 2000.
Over the years he was involved with the Denver Inner-city Parish, Columbine United Church, Douglas County Land Conservancy, and was a licensed Practitioner with the Centers for Spiritual Living.
He was passionate about family, nature, hiking, backpacking, photography, reading, writing, spiritual growth, gardening, volunteer work, ice cream and always dessert first. He was also the author of 2 books and a blog, where he shared insights and experiences from his soul journey.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Tatera Harding; his sister, Darlene Harding Auckland; six daughters: Rita Harding (Thomas Satalowich), Christine Cox (Bryan Cox), Brenda Harding (Rob True), Kathy Harding (Bert Fox), Debra Kolb (Bill Kolb), Anne Packard; eight grandchildren: Keith Cox, Brett Cox, Zach Gilbert (Sadie), Garrett Kolb (Autumn), Wyatt Kolb (Sarah Skaggs), Madilyn Kolb, Isabelle Fisher, Drew Fisher and 2 great-grandchildren: Jett Gilbert and Haycen Kolb.

A celebration of life for Foster will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel, 407 Jerry St, Castle Rock, Colorado 80104, followed by a luncheon reception from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
