Grace lived to the age of 90 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her son, David Housel, Granddaughter, Beth DeRemer, Great Grandson, Jacob and cousins, Mel Pattridge of Lakewood, Laurie Pattridge and Linda Pattridge of Lakewood.
Grace was a Registered Professional Nurse, who retired from Denver General Hospital in 1990. After retirement she worked part time at the Immigration Detention Facility in Aurora. Music was her avocation. She directed several choirs in New Jersey, and sang at Carnegie hall with the Rutgers University choir, as well as T.V. performaces with them, over a period of four years. In high school, she played Viola in the N.J. All State Symphony, and with various string quartets. Several of the childrens's stories and articles she wrote were published in the Douglas County News Press. Other activities include reading to elementary school classes, member of the Douglas County Garden Club, played handbells with Rock Ringers of teh Methodist Church, member of the Castle Rock First United Methodist Church, and participated in several groups of the church.
