The most precious memory I will always have of Harry is that sincere excited smile he gave me every time I saw him. Priceless!! Imprinted in my mind forever will the Sunday’s when he had memorized scripture and we as a congregation were beyond blessed to hear it from his lips with such eloquent and perfect tone in Harry Ball Fashion! I’ll never forget that!! I’m going to miss this wonderful wonderful man I grew to love. Rest sweet Harry rest.

America has lost a "National Hero" with the passing of Colonel Harry N. Ball. Devoted husband and father. The truest of friends. A natural born leader as he served first in the Tennessee State Guard at 17. At 18, 1944, he joined the Navy and served in the South Pacific.
He later was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant of Infantry via college ROTC. He became a leader of men, particularly in combat leading American soldiers in battle during two tours of duty in Vietnam. He was a Master Parachutist and highly regarded Army Ranger. He lived by the Ranger motto: "Rangers lead the way" throughout his military and civilian careers.
My Foxhole buddy I salute you and I thank you for your many years of sterling friendship. God Bless you!
