He was born in Denver, Colorado on April 30th, 2004, a month early, to the surprise of both of his parents. Hayden graduated from Connections Academy and received his High School Diploma in 2022.
Hayden was currently employed as a Range Safety Officer (RSO) for the Family Shooting Center in Cherry Creek State Park. He had previously worked in IT and had hoped to ultimately return to that field and work his way up to a Unix Systems Administrator.
Hayden was a proud member of the Liberal Gun Club, as well as the longest-serving Administrator and Moderator in the S0urce.io community, two affiliations that gave him great pride and sense of purpose.
Hayden had a passion for technology, animals, machinery, firearms, learning, and above all, helping people. Despite, or perhaps because of, his personal struggles, he was incredibly attuned to people around him and was known for being an “empathetic and kind human being and friend, someone who never hesitated to help others or support people during difficult times in their lives.” He is remembered for treating people with kindness, patience, respect and fairness, for being trustworthy and reliable, and a good friend and man of strong principles. Hayden took life seriously, and always strove to listen before he spoke, and learn before he opined.
Hayden was funny, witty, brilliant, and in many ways, wise beyond his years. He was a storyteller like his father, a problem solver like his mother, and an individual that has no equal in this world. He will be sorely missed by more people than he could ever imagine. He is with his beloved Grandfather now, who we know will watch over him until we can once again be by his side.
Hayden is survived by his mother, Lisa Marie Roebuck, and his father, Gregory Loren Roebuck; he was the best parts of both his parents, made better. He is also survived by hundreds of family members, friends, coworkers and community members who loved and adored him. His death leaves the world an immeasurably poorer place.
