I met Holger at Hughes Aircraft in the mid-90's.  We both worked for Jim Applegate at the time.  Hogie, as we called him, was a great man, easy to work with, ready to help a new engineer learn the skills needed for long and successful career.  Now, almost 30 years later, I am about ready to enter retirement myself.  I am grateful for all of the older guys who helped the next generation prepare and succeed.  It was a real pleasure to know and work with Hogie and I am glad he had a long and rewarding retirement.  Getting older myself, I often reflect that we never run out of dreams -- we just run out of time.  God Bless you Hogie...  You were one of the good guys... Your old pal, Steve Cook.
