Jennifer Lynn Orr (Postlethwait) was born on July 29, 1971, and went to be with the Lord on November 15, 2025. Jen lived as a brave and radiant warrior for Jesus. Her deepest desire was unwavering and simple: that others would see Jesus clearly, tenderly, and personally through every season of her story. No matter what her circumstances held, her heart remained steadfast, longing for her life to bring glory to God in every possible way.
Jen was raised in the Denver area and graduated from Cherry Creek High School (1989) before going to Kansas State (1993). Her adventurous spirit took her abroad to student teach in England, which sparked a deep love of international travel. She participated in several mission trips in high school and beyond. Wherever she went, her utmost priority was sharing the love and light of Jesus with others.
Jen will be missed profoundly by all who knew her, not only because she was beloved, but because she carried a presence that could brighten the darkest hour. She had a way of entering a room and instantly filling it with warmth, joy, and the unmistakable light of Christ. Her smile carried hope. Her laughter multiplied joy. And her faith, unwavering and bold, inspired countless others to trust God more deeply.
Jen is survived by her devoted husband, Jonathan, and their two sons, Jacob and Joshua, who were the joy of her life and the recipients of her fierce, protective, and unconditional love. She is also survived by her parents, Harry and Sylvia; her sister, Megan (Bryan); her father-in-law, David; her sister-in-law Lesley; her brother-in-law Bill; her three nieces, Abby, Claire, Grace, and nephew, Bennett. Jen loved her people with intention. She cheered them on and challenged them to grow. She fought for their hearts and covered them in prayer.
After Jen was diagnosed with cancer in 2015, she chose a path marked not by fear, but by surrender and hope. She anchored her life in the truth of who God is and invited everyone around her to witness and participate in the unfolding of His greater story. “Absolute surrender, abundant hope” became her anthem - words she lived by with courage and clarity. Even in suffering, she offered compassion without limits, loyalty without hesitation, and a willingness to embrace adventure when others might have chosen retreat. Her faith remained the steady flame that lit her way and encouraged others to lift their eyes as well.
In more recent years, she was a devoted caregiver and considered it a wonderful privilege to support others. She poured her heart into every act of service, offering comfort, dignity, and presence in moments that mattered most. Jen leaves behind a legacy of strength wrapped in tenderness, joy rooted in faith, and hope that echoes beyond her time on this earth. Those who knew her will carry her influence forever.
