I had only known Jeremy for about a year but became a regular in his Tuesday CPY class. We discovered we lived very near each other and then I saw him regularly in the park walking his beautiful pup. He was a wonderful teacher and also was amazing with my teebange boys who both practiced occasionally with me. I am heartbroken at this news. My sincere condolences go out to his family. I am so very very sorry for your loss.

Jer was always so warm and welcoming at CorePower and I enjoyed taking his classes over the years! I’m thankful to have been a part of his “good vibe tribe” and have practiced yoga with him. I’m so sorry for you loss

It’s been so hard to even comprehend the idea that you’re gone. Since hearing the news, memory after memory has been surfacing, some I haven’t thought about in years, others that somehow still feel like they happened yesterday. And with each one, I’m realizing all over again just how much of a place you hold in my life.
We may have lost touch over the years, but you were so much more than someone I simply knew a long time ago. You were my friend. You were a fellow teacher. You were part of my studio in those very early days, when I had just opened it almost 19 years ago and was still figuring out what the hell I was doing. You were part of that scrappy, wonderful, ridiculous chapter of my life, and when I think back on those years, you are simply there. Woven into them.
I keep thinking about you taking me on a date to see, of all possible movies, Borat, without me even realizing I was on a date with you. And then the two of us spending the next year talking about what an absolutely terrible choice that was for a first date. It still makes me laugh.
I remember hanging out at your condo with Dan (Jesus), Ryan, Marley, Ian, Kendall, and the other teachers, doing handstands, attempting ridiculous things, laughing, talking, and staying up until hours when grown adults probably should have known better. There was such an innocence and freedom to that time. We were teaching yoga, building friendships, figuring out our lives, and somehow believing that doing handstands in someone’s living room in the middle of the night was a completely reasonable thing to do.
You were part of a really special chapter of my life. A chapter filled with people who were more than coworkers or teachers or friends. We were growing up together in our own strange way. We were building something, becoming something, and sharing a life together for a while. You were an important part of that for me, and losing touch never erased it. You will be missed, endlessly remembered, and always, loved.

Way back, probably 2010, Jeremy and I shared desk time at CorePower LoHi. I taught the 6 AM class and he taught at 7:30. He always had Pedialyte with him because he taught so many classes he had to stay hydrated. I was somewhat envious because I had two small children and wished I could teach that many classes that I needed Pedialyte. He was always fun and I enjoyed our time at the desk. I left Corepower a few years later,. I connected with Jeremy again at a holiday party, I think it was 2024. We talked about the old times and I enjoyed reconnecting with him. I will always remember the connection through yoga and what a supportive person he was. I am so sorry for his loss and for his friends and family who will continue to grieve for him. My heart goes out to all of you.

Jeremy introduced me to Brian in 2008 and proudly took credit for our marriage with good humor any chance he got. He was a fellow teacher for CorePower from at least 2007 on (maybe earlier) and welcomed me to the Denver yoga community in 2007. Jer was a dear friend to Brian who he worked with at Waterway Car Wash. His dog, Buddy, delighted him, and he loved music and yoga so much. He charmed our kids who referred to him as Gummy Bear, and enjoyed his visits. Jeremy was quick to smile and bring humor to any crowd he was with, and always reminded me not to take myself too seriously. He will be deeply missed. With love and peace, Marisa and Brian

Jeremy was an incredibly influential person for me teaching yoga. I remember he told me, “when in doubt, Tycho…” meaning you can play Tycho for almost any class situation and it’ll work. It genuinely worked for so many classes, and I know it was felt in the hearts of the students he taught. He was there for me when I was having hard times or when I felt bad about my classes... I’ll remember Jeremy as a great person with a huge heart. A person always willing to help. A person always ready to teach & explore. May his body be at rest, may his mind be at peace, as the light that shined inside, a breath of yoga (union) with all.
