Jeremy Todd Trickey, age 38, of Castle Rock, CO, tragically passed away unexpectedly on November 25th, 2023. He had an immense internal glow that lit up even the brightest of rooms and the void he leaves is immeasurable.
Born on July 19th, 1985, in Delaware, his family moved to Missouri, where he spent most of his childhood before moving to Florida and then to Colorado in 2018. He grew up to be a lifelong hockey player, and an immense athlete and competitor. At the young age of four, he began playing hockey and perfected his passion throughout his life. He was currently active in the South Suburban Adult Hockey League, playing with the Hat Trick Swayzies, where he loved to show off on the ice.
As an adult, Jeremy's career focused on the commercial HVAC trade. Most recently, he was employed at Colorado Mechanical Systems where he quickly worked his way up to superintendent and had just recently moved to Bruce Mechanical. He worked hard and was constantly getting rewarded by his superiors. He had the respect of everyone he worked with, especially the co-workers he himself supervised. He had an undeniable pull and way with people that showed itself in all aspects of his life, including in his work. Jeremy enjoyed his daily work and took pride in being knowledgeable in his trade. His biggest motivator was working hard for his family. His children were always at the forefront of his mind and his goal was to give them anything and everything that he could.
In his personal life, Jeremy enjoyed and was known for his BBQ acumen, was an amazing chess player, loved watching shows/movies, and playing games. He lived for laughter and loved being able to quote one-liners from all his favorite shows and share that with the people he loved. His most beloved activity was spending time with his family, especially his partner Amanda, his biggest fan and supporter. He was always proud to share about he and Amanda's travels and adventures, of which they had many.
Jeremy had a beautiful personality and a legendary generosity of spirit. He was perceptive, emotionally intelligent and had a way with words. He could convey his emotions and thoughts through beautiful writing; the type of writing that gave one pride to read it and know that it was meant only for them. He had a magnetic ease about him that immediately drew people to him and made them care deeply for him. Those who knew him closely would describe him as a protector, a fiercely loving man and loyal to his core.
Family and friends will remember Jeremy for his gentle and sweet personality, his sense of humor and his infectious laugh. Jeremy was a sensitive and beautiful man who gave his all to everything he did. He has left a world that was too harsh for his sweet soul and his loved ones take comfort in knowing that he is now at peace. His family hopes he can rest knowing that even though he is gone, he is continually loved and his glow is living on in the hearts of all those he left behind.
Jeremy leaves behind his partner, Amanda deLancellotti; his children, Isaac and Aubrielle Trickey; his father, Duane Trickey and wife Nancy; his mother, Earlena Tasker and husband Al; his sister, Jennifer Lowery and husband David, and their son, Kevin; maternal grandmother, Wanda Nelson and a large extended family and many loving friends. Jeremy was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Nelson, and his paternal grandparents, Dewey and Irene Trickey.
